About Midwest Mom Style

Hello there! I'm Bridgit, and I recently embarked on the extraordinary journey of parenthood. Let me be honest; it was an eye-opener, a beautiful whirlwind that caught me off guard. Despite attending breastfeeding and childbirth classes, I quickly realized that becoming a parent was messier and more complex than the courses I took could have prepared me for.

In those final weeks before my due date, I held onto the belief that parenting would be easier than others made it out to be. Fast forward to the arrival of my son, and reality hit hard. Google became my go-to for answers, but the challenges of sleepless nights, round-the-clock feedings, and diaper changes left me feeling clumsy, exhausted, and utterly overwhelmed. My life was forever changed.

It took about six weeks for the fog to lift and another three months to regain a sense of normalcy. Parenthood brought excitement, pride, and a whole lot of fear. The responsibility of caring for this tiny, fragile human was both awe-inspiring and terrifying.

Reflecting on those initial weeks, I wished I had access to the knowledge and guidance that could have eased my transition into parenthood. That's why I'm here – inspired to connect new parents with valuable resources that offer practical insights into the nitty-gritty of the first weeks to the first year. If only I had known then what I know now, those early days might have been less overwhelming and more filled with confidence.

Join me on this journey of discovery, where I share insights, tips, and resources to empower new parents and hopefully make their parenting experience a little smoother.
